I had to vote for Rush here ... because I really do like Spirit of the Radio, and Limelight ... and I am (still) so sick of Led Zeppelin ... as annoying as Lee's vocals can be, there's a lot more good in the Rush catalog than in Zep's ...

I voted for Zeppelin. As noted before, LZ1 and LZ3 are two of my all time favorite rock albums; it's the rest of them I have a problem with...

Zeppelin - a band who took what Robert Johnson did and made it louder and whiter
Rush - a band who took what Zeppelin did and then said "fuck that's really boring, let's do something interesting and memorable instead"

They are both the soundtrack for guys in acid washed jeans, who have Funyon crumbs in their Camaros and greasy mullets......however......since It was Rush that I first made out with my fair haired hot ass stoner girl with Mountain Dew on our tongues, I have to vote for Rush no matter how much I love Zeppelin for the Nostailgia alone.
