yeah just keep it up with the Rush stuff and next thing we'll attack you fuckers down there with some old broken helicopters and submarines and a shitload of pissed of beavers.
the whole Canadian wildlife population has actually been fully supplied with I-Pods prepopulated with full Rush discographies.

Our only pedal-boat equiped with a stealt electric motor ...
It was about time Steven Harper did something for our military !!
Although I would think twice before firing that Heavy-duty machine gun ...

Nice list, Riley.
I didn't know you were a Cuff the Duke fan? I hated them when I saw them open for Nick Cave at Kool Haus a couple years ago, but loved them when I saw them with Kate Maki at my dive bar back home (I swore I was going to marry the adorably nerdy lead singer.) And I dig my Cuff the Duke t-shirt a lot, though it's gotta be the cheapest t-shirt known to man.
Following your lead, my top 10 CanCon at this moment - including a lot of older stuff I'm revisiting after a long hiatus:
1. Reunion - Stars 2. To a Girl Named Fiend - Betty Beats Veronica 3. Matchstick Men - Forgotten Rebels 4. Silent Seven - controller.controller 5. New York City - The Demics 6. In State - Kathleen Edwards 7. One-Stop - Plumtree (goddamn, I forgot how much I love this album) 8. Dogs and Thunder - Weeping Tile 9. Barstool - Statues 10. Everybody Loves You When You're Dead - Wild Strawberries

OK, so that's what happens when I start writing a response and then leave it up on the screen for 3 hours... I make absolutely no fucking sense.
Sexy boat.

That thread above was friggin' priceless. ;D
And here's a current list from myself....
1. Neko Case – Star Witness (I don’t care about the technicalities of citizenship, Neko is Cancon. "I never make a record where half of it isn't made in Canada. I'm not superstitious about it, as much as I am sentimental about it.")
2. Destroyer – Looter’s Follies (Actually there’s a good half-dozen songs on this record that sound so good right now, but this is representative.)
3. The Diableros – No Weight (Also really love "Through the Foam", "Smash the Clock" and "Golden Gates".)
4. Young and Sexy – The Curious Organ 5. Stars – The Apidistra Flies 6. Bruce Cockburn – The Trouble With Normal 7. The Ladies and Gentlemen – Stay 8. Emm Gryner – Saturday Night in Nowhere 9. Hawksley Workman – You Are Too Beautiful 10. My Project: Blue – Control of Me

So Metric is doing a show at Historic Fort York here in July - with Fiery Furnaces, Holy Fuck, Secret Machines and Electric 6. Where will I be? At a wedding. Granted, it's an Italian wedding so the food should be awesome - but will Metric be there? I think not. Grrr.

Holy Fuck are totally worth seeing as well, if you get another opportunity. Metric would be cool, but I would rather camp out in Emily's closet where she keeps all those short skirts.
