Still waiting on Ken to respond to my PM about sending his address and postal details so i can post out his CD... I'm working on it already and will post up the tracklisting when it's all done... but it's sounding good so far! Might try emailing him tomorrow... not sure if he has checked his PM's or whether mine got sent properly... hmmm...  |

I had mine "down" to 419 songs when I decided to take a different approach ... instead of narrowing down my entire collection, I decided to build the list up. So I started by saying, "what absolutely has to be on here?" And then went from there. So now I've got 20 tracks, which will fit on a single cd (I like a lot of those two minute, three chord wonders, remember?).
Are we supposed to post our play lists here before or after we send the discs out? I think this is the one that Luke's gonna get, but I wouldn't mind some input on it ...

I made a disc a week ago that was a sorta a "proposition" disc of what I'd send... being ever the perfectionist and a complete fuss pot, I am unhappy with this disc although it has a few good ideas on it I will keep... I will make a new disc this weekend, which reminds me, i need to go pick up some writeable CDs... hmmmmmm, kinda essential those, i guess...

The awesome thing about sending out to Phil is that I can pretty much dump all the nostalgic grunge-era stuff I want on here, and not have to worry about anyone rolling their eyes because it's the ten billionth time they've heard the song.
Of course, he may be quick to chunk it out the window...but that doesn't mean it was any less fun for me.

The good thing about sending my disc to KenHolzman is i know that we have common ground.... eg, dislike of the Doors!
I'm kinda feeling in a bit of a spoiled position though, since alot of the Aussie stuff I listen to won't be known over there, I have a vasy array of unheard material to share...
Of course the downside of this is trying to make a choice and finalise what i am actually going to put on the darn disc... an Mp3 disc maybe?! :-)

Not really looking to get any new music (unless someone has rare bootlegs of Sigur Ros, Kozelek, Autechre, the usual suspects that is)...but I might make a disc for someone if they want me to. It's just that I'm such a procrastinator, and it might take a while.
Ken, I still have that RHP "Early Years" comp that I meant to send you last year...you still want it? I don't know if I still have your address...
