Yeah, I really can't stand any of those ads. In fact, phone company advertising in general is pretty bad. The best ones I can think of were those Radio Shack ads before Christmas, especially the one where this guy is saying "Baby, I don't know what I want" and talking about how he can't keep any of the tech terms straight. It was short, funny, and made its point.

I hate to admit it, but I really like Geico's "Caveman" ads. Ha! Too funny. And talk about catcy...I want to know who does that song on the one where the caveman is at the airport and sees the poster "So easy a caveman can do it"...the lyrics are "Everywhere I go there's always something to remind me...of another place and time..." Does anyone know who that is?

I never thought about that song, but it's gotta be more than just a jingle. I liked the first caveman ad, but think they ran a bit too far with it.
I LOVE the new Domino's commercial where they have this flying-v guitar font and there's pizzas exploding all over the screen. I have no idea what special it's advertising (and who cares? my wife gets and educator's discount at dominoes so we get unlimited $5 large pizzas delivered whenever we want), but that is one helluva commercial. I want to record it so I can laugh at how dated it'll look in two years.

All of those stupid Vonage commercials are driving me insane, and the main thing I hate about them is that awful "Woo-hooo woo-hoo-hoo" song they play in the background. God, I will be so glad when that campaign ends. Just out of curiosity, does anyone know the origin of that lame ditty? I'm thinking I've heard it before, that it's not just a jingle, but I'm not sure. Anybody? It used to be in a car commercial too. It's by the 5.6.7.8'.s. I think it's catchy as hell. |

There's this regional furniture store chain here called Sticks & Stuff, and they sponsor this lady NASCAR racer from Alabama, Tina Gordon, so she does their ads. Her accent is ridiculously thick and she says stuff like, "Can you believe it?! All for only three-nandy-nan!! Hwooo!!! ...And look at these UP-holstered kichin chayers!!" They used to really annoy me, but now I find them amusing and I sorta like her. Hwooo! She's kinda cute, too.    |

Those Levitra for E.D. (erectile dysfunction) commercials. The commercial is shown at least once (sometimes twice) during each airing of Charlie's Angels. Maybe most of those guys that watch the old re-runs have that particular problem?

I HATE HATE HATE the quiznos commercial with the chick who says real women need lots of meat. She's fucking annoying...isn't innuendo supposed to be sexy? Not to mention that it gets played during EVERY break when I watch TV I see that whore ten times during an hour show. Somebody get her some cock so she'll shut the hell up.
