I love my closing list much better than the opening one.
I think Ken is just wanting everyone else to post their lists so he can get easy picks of their lists and not miss any obvious entries. I admit I thought of that as an advantage on my openers list, but I still ended up forgetting Loose Fur's "Laminated Cat," which since has been remedied.

Melaun -- "If You Wear That Velvet Dress" isn't the last cut on Pop, "Wake Up Dead Man" is. "It's the End of the World As We Know It (and I Feel Fine)" isn't the last son on Document, either (that would be "Oddfellows Local 151"). And there's no apostrophe in Lifes Rich Pageant.

Ken, I think I might do something SHOCKING!...I'm put My Best Was Never Good Enough on my list. Funny thing is, Tom Joad has great opening and closing numbers. It's the stuff in the middle that brings it down.

Can we qualify "Radio Radio" as the last track on This Year's Model? I wasn't sure about that one.

You can count either Either "Night Rally" or "Radio Radio" as the final song on This Years Model. "Night Rally" was the last track on the original UK version of the record. Columbia Records cut it and "(I Don't Wanna Go to) Chelsea" from the US release and added "Radio Radio", which was the A-side of a UK single.
Likewise with Armed Forces. The UK release ended with "Two Little Hitlers". In the US, "Sunday's Best" was dropped from side two of the record and "(What's So Funny 'Bout) Peace, Love and Understanding", the b-side of a UK single (for Nick Lowe!) was substituted at the end.

I hate to be a rules Nazi here, but "Long May You Run" was the first track on the album of the same name, Adam, and Decade is disqualified b/c it's a "best of" compilition, and those aren't allowed. So you might want to rethink that entry. Nicely done, Drum. I knew about the differences between the US and UK pressings of This Year's Model, but I did not know that the UK rendition of Armed Forces ended with "Two Little Hitlers." I can't imagine that album w/o "Peace Love and Understanding" to wrap it up.

Actually, Ken, as a self-contained piece, I think there's more of an internal logic to the "Accidents Will Happen" through to "Two Little Hitlers" version (or given that's it was a product of the 33 1/3 world, "Goon Squad" through TLH). But I know what you mean. We had the same version as you and you get used to what you had.

These are all fine choices, melon. I was going to include 'bring it on home', and then I decided not to, for some reason. Great little closer, especially when you consider it as the tail end "bringin on home" the classic percussionsit onslaught, Moby Dick. Straight up classic
