Next Tuesday the 4th I'll be flying to Boston to attend my mothers wedding. My Mother bought me a round-trip ticket so it wasn't like I could say no now is it? Fortunately my Doc' was kind enough to prescribe me 30 xanax for the trip so the stress shouldn't be too very taxing. I'll be there in Ashland (a suburb of Boston) from the 4th to the 9th. My mother and her soon to be hubby bought this really nice old house. Looks lovely from the pic's I've seen. My two sisters will be there. My youngest sister with her first son (born this past February the 14th!) Nathan.

It's funny. I recently moved into my own apartment. Its been gosh, since '87 since I had my own pad. The building I live in has four 'units' or apartments per building. I reside in one of the two upstairs in a unit. In the two weeks that I've been there I've noticed that:
1. The girl in the upstairs unit across from me dates a cop and roams at odd hours of the night. I smoke cig's outside and she has this nasty habit of flinging her door open and rushing out like she owns the building. Jeepers, creepers do I jump out of my skin when she does that. She also talks incessantly on her cell phone. Yack, yack, yack. A real yacker.
2. The guy downstairs beats his wife. He smokes, she doesn't. The wife recently moved out after a beating. Poor girl's face was all swollen.
3. The other couple in the final apt. of my unit keep to themselves, are very quiet. Rarely see them.
It's funny noticing things like that. Being aware af the people I live around. Noticing other peoples peculiarities. Go figure.

Nah. She's a 9 to 5er. I made a 'bet' with myself on how long until the wife-beaters wife comes back to him. I bet within 2 weeks she'll be back to let him hammer on her some more. From what I hear thats common, victims of spousal abuse coming back to their mates after the promise of "it'll never happen again."
Time will tell...

I think when I get back from Boston I'll start the hunt for the next pup. I sure miss Logi my first dog. I think I'll get a Lhasa Apso. Heres a pic' of one, they come in all colors: or If I get a female (which I probably will, I prefer female dogs for some reason) her name will be rose, or rosie. If a male, Idaho.

When their full grown they look (and I believe this is a Lhaso Apso) like the dog found on the cover of Beneful (a great dog food BTW) dog chow:

Ohhhhhhhhhhh that second shot, the brown pup is so sweet. What a cutie. Does the new place let you have pups? Must I guess. I’ve got shots of Mocha in the camera so as soon as the films developed I’ll be posting some ‘o my new little lady.

BREAKING NEWS: The wife-beaters wife has returned. I was having a smoke this a.m. and what-do-ya-know, the door downstairs opened and Mrs. black and blue came flip-floppin' out of her apt. door. Suppressing a laugh attack, I managed to get back inside my apt. before letting loose with the snickers.
Yeah, the building allows pets with requisite deposit of-course.

Made it to Boston. The flight was long and uneventful. Boston and suburbs of are very nice. My mother's home is really cool. Built in the 1800's. Has a basement and an attic. Spent Wednesday in Boston. Took the train from Brockton into the city then used the subways to get to the "Freedom Trail" where Paul Revere made his infamous ride so long ago. Took the tour of Revere's home. Lots of vewy intewesting memorabilia from the Revere family. Never knew Revere was a silversmith. Yesterday saw "The Rock" at Plymouth. Took off my shoes and rolled up my pants and walked along the atlantic shore. The atlantic is cold! Threw some tea into the Boston harbor for old times sake...hardy-har-har. Today I decorated the unitarian church hall for tomorrow's wedding. Lots of purple and gold decorations. My nephew Nathan is adorable. The wittle one indeed!!

Oh. I forgot to mention: Massachusetts has got to be the Dunkin' Donut capitol of America. I swear to God, I have never seen so many Dunkin' Donuts in one city. My sister and I screamed with laughter over how many D.D. stores we would pass by driving around the State yesterday. They (D.D.) make a great caffe latte. Whats really hysterical is on Wednesday we stopped for lunch at an italian restauant and I ordered an artichoke heart and prosciutt sandwich. I had no idea that prosciutt was an italian ham (I.E. pork.) I blithely ate 1/2 the sandwich before asking what the meat was. Really very funny in a way, since I gave up pork 7 months ago. Oi! Was kinda nauseated the rest of the day. Poor me.

I thought prosciutt was some type of tofu meat. Funny eh? Went to a great restaurant last night in Boston . The "Legal" seafood restaurant. Had salmon with a baked 'tater and steamed broccoli with garlic and oil. Divine.

Prosciutto is italian ham aged for at least 3 months but the best Prosciutto from Parma are cured 12 to 18 months... It is delicious served with cantaloup(muskmelon) or good Parmesan cheese with just a dash of balsamic vinegar...

Whats really amazing are the 30 xanax the Doc' prescribed that remain untouched in their bottle. I haven't felt any need for one. And that friends and neighbors is truly amazing...
