HOLY SHIT! quite possibly the most ridiculous photos of a band I have ever seen in my life. What is that, Peter Jackson Metal?

High On Fire The Bronx Big Business at Emo's here in Austin
I actually went to this show with huge expectations since I had yet to see Big Business. Well, they actually wound up playing really early and I only got to see the last two songs. While it rocked super hard and they were totally great, it was way too short for the practically the main reason why I went in the first place.
The Bronx couldn't have been more of a Murder City Devils rip off band if they had tried. They were awful pap recorded by Gilby Clarke, the former replacement guitarist of Guns N Roses. I really think this just says it all if you ask me. Awful, horrible band with zero originality.
High on Fire was in rare form and rocked really hard for a very long time. They played most of the new record, which I think is a classic, and then Matt Pike even treated us to a couple of old Sleep numbers which I thought was pretty cool. All in all it was a pretty good show, just not great. There was too much setting up and not enough rocktastic steady jams through out the night.

satan's awkward gropings?
my guess is that it probably sounds MUCH more badass in some scandinavian language...
nice groupings there, regardless.
'foreign-sounding'--->'ACTUALLY foreign'
lol!

maarts, hell yeah I've been involved in a wall of death, and not only that - - I've been involved in one of the most spectacular wall of deaths imagineable: That's a pic of the Pennsic War in Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania, where I've participated as a rogue mercenary fighter who joined up with the Vikings in a suicide -commando attack from the right wingtip of our army. Lemme just tell you that, before this "Wall Of Death" begins running full tilt towards each other, this particular Wall is comprised of a total of over 6,000 fighters fully clad in real armor, wielding solid rattan weapons wrapped in duct tape. The cannon-shot fired off at the start is enough to startle some into crapping their pants... The walls of death I've participated in at underground shows are like a kindergarden game of Red Rover, by comparison.
